Easter is a time of rebirth and renewal-especially for children, but also for many adults. The spirit of Easter has found its way into our culture and many of us have made it an important part of our lives. Many of us celebrate Easter in our own homes with special preparations. One of the most important symbols of Easter is the Easter Bunny. For this reason it’s important to consider and explore some of the more traditional Easter decor.
One easy way to get started is to create some handmade Easter eggs. These eggs can be decorated with ribbon and other seasonal decorations to add a festive touch. For example, you might want to use leftover chocolate from the last year and create “Easter” chocolate eggs. Perfect for those of us who hate washing chocolate from the chutes!
Another idea for decorating eggs is to decorate them with cut out pictures of pastel-colored flowers or candy canes. This is an especially beautiful time of year and if you’re not up to making your own Easter eggs, you may want to buy some decorative eggs at the store that are Easter themed. Or, you can start your own tradition of decorating eggs in various Easter colors and designs. Don’t forget to include pictures of Mary and Joseph, the three wise men, in your decorating. It’s a nice touch if you can find pictures of them in the Christmas album, like mine, or on some of the Christmas trees this year.
If you’re looking for some Easter decorating ideas that don’t require a lot of work, then maybe you should consider using some of the items that you already have in your home. For instance, I have an old milk glass that I’ve been storing for years. It’s pastel in color and has a beautiful design etched in the glass. I also have old picture frames that I put pictures in that being Easter-themed, too. And don’t forget about your home alarm clock, a favorite of mine that comes in many different styles.
You can easily jazz up your walls in your home with paintings and wall art. For example, I have a beautiful Easter egg on my wall that is embellished with a ribbon that I’m using to hang it. I love to accent my rooms with different things, such as this one. And don’t forget about your mailbox – I have an Easter gift inside that I just love! That way, I’ll always remember the Easter season and the joy of being with friends and family as they enjoyed the holiday together.
If you do some decorating yourself, be sure to look for eggs that will go with your current decorating theme. For example, if you’re into nature, then you should probably go with images of trees and flowers. However, if you’re more of a fan of technological items and machines, then you might want to use images of new technology or something else. The possibilities are endless when it comes to Easter decor. Don’t be afraid to experiment and come up with your own ideas – after all, you’ll want to add some of your own personality to the room as well.
I can’t tell you how much I love all of the Easter decorations that my husband has made for us. The first year we had Easter at our home, he was able to make a huge egg decorator that we used all throughout our house. We decorated it as if it were in our living room and even had it featured on our television screen. And the best part was, he made it for only $5.00! Not bad, considering. And you can imagine how much better it would have been if he had been able to charge more!
In fact, there are many Easter decor things that you can purchase that are both affordable and beautiful. Don’t be afraid to add your own personal touch to your home during the springtime. After all, that’s why Easter is celebrated! So enjoy the holidays and remember to give thanks to those who have made this fun time even more memorable!
